Ideas Please...P.E

heloo
i have an observation next week for 307. i want some ideas for PE + EXCERCISE....i work with chiuldren aged 3-4yrs. we dont have ANY resources....so am struggling so much to think of any activities....we have the normal stuf like...balls, skipping ropes, bikes, boppers etc......we dont have the large equipment.....any ideas???

this is what i have to cover...
  • Plan indoor and outdoor activities that provide opportunities for children to practise physical skills and develop competence
  • Make sure children involved in physical activity are wearing appropriate clothing for their safety and given ‘warm up’ and ‘wind down’ opportunities
  • Ensure that the activities provided are in line with the overall plan for the setting
  • Adequately assess risk, in line with organisational policy, without limiting opportunities to extend and challenge children’s skills and experience
  • Ensure that planned activities are inclusive and available to all children, adapting plans as necessary to meet individual needs
  • Provide indoor and outdoor activities that develop balance, skill and co-ordination of large muscles
  • Provide activities to support fine motor skills development
  • Provide indoor and outdoor activities that develop hand/eye co-ordination
  • Provide activities that encourage co-operation, sharing and turn taking among children
  • Encourage children to extend their range and level of skills and reward their efforts and achievements
  • Plan and implement routines that allow children to rest and recover from physical exercise
  • Provide opportunities for children to learn about how their bodies work and their health needs
  • Provide opportunities for discussion about healthy physical development, according to the child’s age, needs and abilities
  • Support children in making positive health decisions and choices and provide information according to government guidelines and best practice

hi i work with children of that age.we do the "bean" game for warming up and warming down.explain all the movements to the children and ask them to copy them when you call them out.this uses listen skills and concentration.call out string bean and they must stretch up tall, chilly bean, they wobble, baked bean they curl up in a ball, french bean do a french pose they say oh lala!jelly bean, they shake.they can move around the area while the game is going on.
we use ball games for gross motor skills balancing bean bags on body parts is also good.and rolling hoops to a partner.encourages taking turns and good eye co ordionation.
also try the song head shouldres knees and toes to wind down.there are lots of music tapes with axtions available. hope this helps.(also about there clothes, just make sure trousers arn't too long, tuck them into socks if needed)and good shoes.
