For Fun - What did you want to be?? - Silkysteps early years forum

Just for fun, I thought we could list what we wanted to be when we grew up....

I'll start:

First I wanted to be an ignoramus (thanks Dad!) - job done!

Then it was an air hostess and dress designer...
Between 9 and 15 I wanted to be a vet - would've helped had I studied biology...

After that I hadn't a clue, and still haven't. I've been an insurance clerk, receptionist and dental nurse, but my vocation is yet to reveal itself...

Er, wanted to be a nursery nurse then couldn't get into Airedale and Wharfedale College so my friend, who was the same, said she was going into hairdressing, so I did that for seven years till I got married!

i wanted to be an archaelogist and was well on my way when half way through my A levels everything got on top of me and I threw all my work out the window into the pouring rain!!!

Up till the age of 15 i wanted to be a teacher then took GCSE food with the intention of going into catering, then took GNVQ health and social work thinking i might become a social worker or work with old people. After work experience in an old peoples home i decided that wasn't for me. I got a part time job in an after school club while in college and have never looked back

I always wanted to be a Norland Nanny but found out how much it cost!!!!!!!!
Knew it was working with children though
