Unit 303:
How and Why You Would encourage development of gross and fine motor skills through provision of appropiate activities and equipment?

How and why you would meet physical needs including nurtrition and healthy eating?

Hi Sarah, glad you made it in ok.

Gross motor and fine motor from wikipedia.

These skills are encouraged by the resources and reassurances you offer as a practitioner, parent, carer or within another role.

When you use your setting, your experience and knowledge what resources do you have that encourage small and larger muscle development.

Abraham Maslow developed a heirachy of needs that will help you see how you provide for them - from wikipedia and Business balls.com

Hiya Sarah One of the activities I did to encourage gross motor movements with mark making was have the children paint on decorating lining paper in the garden with mops and brooms...... they loved it.... put the paint in large floor tray so they can do it all themselves. Only by using their bodies to control large motor movements can they learn the control for fine motor.
