Default Analyse the antecedent, behaviour and consequences of an incident of challenging behaviour

Can any help with this as I am banging my head against a brick wall

Hi if you google abc of behaviour you will hit loads of useful info.

Hi, as well as google the replies to your other threads have links and information that will help xx If you click your username ie. debbiek58 and then on the next page click the link that says 'posts made they'll be displayed for you.

If you've been able to make some observations on children's or young people's behaviour you'll be able to see how the ABC applies.

'Analyse means to look closely at the information you have, and then break it down to see what's going on, from there you can examine each part, look to see how the parts are related and why they are important.

eg. If you were working in a setting and a child in the room suddenly begins to cry the ABC will help to fiind out what caused the crying - antecedent, what the behaviour or actions involved are and the consequences .. crying, possible conflict resolution & negotiation
