All children should be allowed and encouraged to explore the natural environment that is around them. At my setting we hold regular outings to the local park. We go at different times of the year so the children can see the changes that happen around them.
The children can run, jump, hop, skip feely and can explore the environment around them enabling them to develop their physical skills and build confidence. The children at my setting like it best when it has been raining as it allows them to splash, jump in and over puddles in their wellie boots. This allows the children to develop coordination, confidence and be physically active.
