Assessment Essay

I have a 1000 word essay on how children are assessed at my placement setting and have to link this with theories etc. The issue I have is what format should this be? ie 1st person, second person etc. any ideas please.It has to be academic style.Do I attach sample newsletters etc??

academic essays are rarely in the first person and yes use appendices.
