Help SOS Nvq 2 Assignment 002 Care routines, please can u explain this to me!

Hi!
I am fairly new to childcare and only been working in a setting for 6 months so this may be why I'm finding it so difficult! I am on my Tech cert assignment 002 task B ii - 'Outline basic care routines for each of the following ages groups' 3-7 yrs, 7-12 yrs and 12-16 yrs. Is it asking me to say what they would need to do to look after themselves (which to me the answer would be the same for them all) or is it asking me the level of assistance they would need to do it? or a schedule for the day or all of the above?!! could someone point me on the right track if they wouldn't mind? I am struggling a little!
Many thanks, Lisa :-)
