Smile K4P819 please help!! Upto date public policy affecting your work

Hiya, nearly complete all knowledge questions for 404 but really stuck on this

"Upto date public policy affecting your work and how this is interpreted locally and within your setting or service"

Think i have to talk about legislation's and how we implement them into our setting but not 100% sure. Been working on these questions all day!!

Any help/guidance greatly appreciated

public policy: A decision or action of government that addresses problems and issues. Some policies are passed into laws, and some policies are contained in rules and regulations.

i think its like your whistle blowing policy, ofstead policys, eyfs policy, workers act policy, child protection policy etc its policies which are created as a guidance for settings to follow, the policies which are genralised and that are guidelines for each setting to make their own set of policies. some others may be policies you must have by law for example, under the equal oppertunities act you must have a equal oppertunities or inclusion policy in your setting. or the childrens act states that settings must have a child protection policy and regulations in place which should contain the following....

then you just have to say what you think your setting and area makes of the policies i.e what they think the policies mean etc and how they use/follow them. lastly you should include how the policies effect your practice for example having this policy gives us clar guidelines and helps us to stay within the law, it also improves our quolity as...
