General question Need ideas for training materials about maintaining records?

I need ideas, any will be welcome. I have to do an interactive training session explaining the maintenance of records and reports. Thinking of doing a powerpoint with a quiz. But how much information do i cover as there is lots. Thinking of sticking to the main points. Any help would be great.

Hi, you can use two items to help guide this. Your setting's data protection policy and the data protection principles.

Maintaining records involves
How, when and why details are collected eg. when a parent/carer registers a new child, lets a setting know of any medications a child is taking or if they have allergies and sensitivities to food or materials.

Where are your development records kept?
Who has permission to access them?
How long are they kept?
What is the Freedom Of Information Act?

Hth xx
