Make the activities/resources assessible to all children - i.e. if you have a tall paint easel, make sure you are providing a smaller paint easel for younger/much shorter children, or if you have sand in a 'high' pit, also provide sand in trays or a tuff top on the floor. If you have a child with special needs - are they able to use the full range of activities and learning experiences? If not, how would you promote their entitlement? If they are unable to access the activities how will you adapt or take the activity/learning experience to them? Think of all the activities/learning experiences you provide in your setting and ask yourself 'Does every child have the opportunity to access it?'

This is asking you how you are going to ensure a child does have that opportunity to access everything you have planned and making sure that they have a balanced programme. So if you have a child there all day - but they always take a nap say at 2pm and whilst they are sleeping you always take the other children out to play, is the child asleep ever getting outdoor play? Likewise, if you keep changing the toys so frequently, do children who may not attend all week get an opportunity to play/access all that you have planned that week? It's just another take on the top question - you may be planning it, but are you promoting all activities/learning experiences to every child.

thanks peeps...

I hope the above helps you.
