In true festive fashion these great verses ~ sung to the tune of Jingle Bells, have just 'been passed' (no pun intended ) to me by our moderator Miss Muffet

Probably not ideal for the Children's Christmas play ... but very worthy of the read & chuckle ....

Mingling Smells

Mingling smells, mingling smells,
Ate some sprouts for lunch,
Had some cabbage then some peas,
Boy that packs a punch! (phew!)
Mingling smells, mingling smells,
Had a few mince pies.
Let one go that really did bring
Tears to my eyes!

Dashing through the funk,
To find a can of spray,
Tripping over junk
The kids left in the way!
Find the can and snatch
It up and spray the room
‘Fore Granny finds and lights a match
And we all go KER-BOOM!

Oh! Mingling smells, mingling smells,
That was quite a feast,
Eating tonnes of veg’tables,
And half a roasted beast. (burp!)
Mingling smells, mingling smells,
My tummy’s fit to burst,
Burps and parps come from both ends –
I don’t know which is worst!
