Hi, my sympathies to you for your mentor xx
Communication difficulties are not necessarily anyone's fault. Apportioning any type of blame can be quite unproductive. Supporting children sensitively demonstates you value them, their confidence, self esteem, confidence and shows how you actively want to provide ways that enable you to communcite well with each other.

Why it is important to show respect for other adults' individuality and how i can implement this within my setting:
We are all from different backgrounds that involve varying views, opinions and culture. When these come together for work purposes there is a great potential for conflict and mis-understanding. As a childcare setting wanting the best care, learning and outcome for their children it is good to provide a balanced, unbias view of peoples experiences, lifestyles, the environment locally and further for Children to form their own ideas on.
This will mean, as adults working together, learning how to overcome differences, communicate in ways that appreciate individuals, show respect and give regard to backgrounds, the experience & experiences each has, interests and what skills everyone has the ability to provide the group with.
Implement this within the setting by ensuring everyone has the opportunity to contribute ideas, suggestions and feedback - how do you and colleagues all get together and show respect for each other - allow time to talk, take ideas seriously, discuss suggestions positively, discuss concerns regarding suggestions positively. Can you add a reflective account about a time this happened?
I hope this helps start things off for you xx
