Default Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 3

Hi everyone!

I am currently studying for the Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and I was wondering if anyone else has completed this course or is also working towards this qualification? I'm doing it online through UK Open College and I admit that it's a lot harder than I thought it would be! THe downside to doing the course online is that I have no one to study with so it would be great to hear from anyone who is also doing this qualification! I'm slowly working my way throught the Promoting Positive Behaviour module and it's so tough!

Hi Sooze89,
Yes!! Yes, I'm doing this course too! I'm struggling so much, I do it day in day out, but actually putting that into words is something else entirely. If you fancy being a study buddy, that would be great. Hope you're managing it ok so far, I have literally just started on the journey. How long have you been doing it?

Hi Zoe,

I'm so glad I've finally found someone doing the same course as me! Are you doing yours with UK Open College too? It's so tough, I started in February 2016 and I feel like I'm not going to ever finish it as I've only completed 4 units so far and I've had one sent back to me by my tutor saying I have to redo most of it :(
How far are you through it?

Sooze x

I've only just started, so I've not done any yet. Written notes but not sent anything off as yet. Yes, I'm with uk open too. A colleague is doing the certification but through a local college, I showed her my course and she was amazed, said that they're literally spoon fed the information where as we have to find our own. I'm so happy to find someone doing the exact same course as me. My email is *REMOVED if you want to send me the bits your having to do again I'm happy to brainstorm with you. I know once I've submitted one unit, I'll be fine, it's just getting motivated to start properly oh and knowing how to lay it out. It's not very clear is it? Or is it just me being a bit thick? Thanks for replying

I feel like that too, I look at other courses and think they look a lot easier to the one I'm doing! Also, I know what you mean about not knowing how to lay it out properly, I'm never sure whether it should be an essay answer, candidate report or anything :/
Thank you so much for your email address, I'm on placement today but I'll email you later if that's ok.
