Hi, a warm welcome to the site.

Do you have copies of your setting's policies and procedure for partnership working? You'll also need to use the information you've learnt about what children's needs are eg. health, diet, physical, emotional, and what you know about the needs of the children in your setting. Then look at the ways you talk with parents, colleagues and other professionals so that you're able to support the children as best as you can.

Safeguarding children means keeping them safe dfrom unacceptable harm. It involves how everyone talks to each other about making sure any risks inside and outside are dealt with, sharing information with parents about staying safe and listening to parents when they share information about safety.

Transitions can be upsetting and confusing for children and unsettling for parents, how do you make these times of change positive experiences eg. visits, tours, offering children the time to explore, getting to know the new people and layouts before making the move? How are parents involved with this?

If it helps, the index in this EYE level 3 handbook points to the different aspects of this.

Best wishes

Evaluate partnership working in relation to:*
• meeting children’s additional needs

Working in partnership will support children's additional needs.
Children maybe being seen by a specialist such as a speech and language therapist and they can share advice and support so that everyone in the team can get involved to support the child.
They may suggest exercises and activities to help develop the child's speech.
If this did not happen then there would be no continuity of care and the chikd may become confused.

safeguarding children
Working in partnership is important in safeguarding children.
There has been cases in the past where a child has been harmed or suffered abuse and it has not been picked up on because the teams working together have not shared information or communicated.
The sharing of information is an essential elememt of working in partnership and this will ensure any concerns are followed up quickly and effectively and this will in turn keep the child safe.

children’s transitions.
When a child first starts at a setting it is essential that practitioners work in oartnershio with parents/carers.
This will enable them to gather all essential information to provide a smooth transition into the setting.
Practitioners need to work in partnership with schools, when a child is starting school it is important that they get the best start and practitioners can help by providing essential information as how the child is developing.

I put this and it was passed.

Partnership working can be effective on a day to day basis as everyone involved can pass on relevant information about the child.
Partnership working can support parents/carers and practioners to monitor a child's progress and development and to discuss ways to work with the child to develop this further.
Partnership working is essential when they are serious concerns or issues raised over a child's welfare or develeopment. This will require the expertise and knowledge of a range of professionals to ensure the best outcome for the child.

Shift work at a nursery setting make it very difficult for relevant team memebers to attend meetings.
A parent/carer who does not want to work in partnership as they do not see any problems.
Clash of views or opinions.

That's what i put.
