Default Pre-school session fees

Hi

Currently we charge £7 for non funded sessions and were wondering if this is a reasonable fee. We are very nearly full and other pre-schools in the area are in a similar position.

Bearng in mind funded sessions are £8.60 do you charge this rate or a higher or lower rate for un funded sessions.

Thanks for your input!

we charge same as the grant we receive..
one reason for this is that we have to be able to show that the funding we receive does not in effect subsidise the non funded places..
we could not see how to show this without having same costs for all..
Parents have not complained and willing to pay that amount.. we are still cheaper than local nurseries.

we charge £4.25for unfunded session which looking at the other prices is really good i don't know if the parents would pay such a high price per session

We do the same as Noah
All sessions are the funded rate - this ensures money collected from funding does not subsidise non-funded places.

We are almost full so the fees don't put people off just looking at ways to keep afloat at the moment, as all other charges etc are increasing!

Thanks for your input
