Can anyone please help me get started. I have all the information i need i just don't know how to get started on the question.

Detailed knowledge and understanding of children and young people’s development in the following areas linked to an in-depth knowledge and understanding of theoretical perspectives, including:

Physical development
Communication, intellectual development and learning
Social, emotional and behavioural development

In each of the age groups
Birth–3 years
3–7 years
7–12 years
12–16 years

Is it a case of putting Physical development Birth–3 years and then listing what a child does between these ages?
For example :
When held upright and tilting slightly forward, with their feet placed on a firm surface, babies will make forward stepping movements.
When babies are startled by a sudden loud noise or bright light, they will move their arms outwards with elbows bent and hands clenched.

There is sooooo much for each age range i'm not sure whether i should write everything or pick out a couple of things and how many pages did people write?

Many thanks to all who read this and would appreciate some help. Thanks Kirsty

no nothing so simplistic, this is all about mapping the theories to practice and the theories are those linked to developmental stages and areas for example for communication you would be critiquing chomskys theoretical perspective, argyle and skinner for pse. you can say what they d at what ages but that question is in the level 2 so not really! it says IN DEPTh so lots of reading and research. it isnt about the stages of dev it is far more focussed on your theoretical knowledge.
