what resources are available to support staff when working with pupils who have developmental needs?

Hi, this is the last question I've got to do for this unit and I'm stuck.
I need to know what resources are available to support staff when working with pupils who have developmental needs? I have wrote about a couple but really struggling. Could anyone please help?

Do you mean like the school action, and school action plus?
Like IEP's?
Communication can be makaton, Picture exchange communication system, visual time tables?
Listening and attention, like information carrying words?
1= pass me the orange, 2=pass me the big orange 3= put the big orange in the box ect?
