Hi, sounds good.
You could look at how valuing what other adults have to say and contribute impacts on practice and relationships with current and currently un established stakeholders - Parents, Carers, places and people you may hope to deal with in the future .. how individuality helps to look at diversity, its issues and how that can benefit the access and flexibility of the service offered.
Showing respect can take the appearance of 'having the time .. when you allow yourself the space and time to listen positively to what's being said and objectively take part in communication it opens up the possibility of building a good solid foundation.
Look at what the potential reactions could be if there were a negative situation to someones individuality and no one was interested or concerned and how that may affect the work environment in and out of the setting ..
How resolving items that matter can be easier / harder when there is an established relationship of valued opinion/ respect & individuality.
Having a way of recording dissagrements & challenged protocol and how to utilise it to benefit the group is a good way to show valued opinion / promote respect of individuality and also to improve / change practice.
The thing with respect is perhaps that you don't know you're doing it or have earnt it .. is it something people express directly to the person ?
A good way to get your head around this is to find/think of someone you personally respect and ask why that is. How you 'feel/think you act when in their company or are going to be in their company and again ask why ... how might they damage the respect you have for them and how would you cope with that .. would it affect your level of professionalism and woud it prevent you from re-building the relationship again ...
There is the other position where you could explore how you would like your own individuality to be respected, what that may involve and what your personal expectations could be and how they may apply to your working professionalism ..
What the difference of Respect and 'being respectful of ' could involve ..
The opening introduction of this article from seop.Leeds.ac.uk is good -
