Default Child Protection

Hi Guy's

Ive got to write an essay on child protection over the last 20 years. It needs to focus on past and current legislation, policies.. I will then be evaluating and discussing this in regards to provision and intergrated and collaborative services etc.

I will be starting from The Children's Act 1989 and building from there. I was just wondering if anybody has any more ideas relating to legislation, enquiries, reports made in this area..

I am aware of the basic's- ECM, Children's Act, Laming and Bichard enquiries/reports etc im just unsure if im missing any important and relevant legislation/policy over this period..

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Hi,
My first thought would be to critically evalauate these policies and legislation by bringing in all the children that the legilastion had failed victoria climbe is the main one because it was her death that brought about the change in children act 1989 to 2004 and every child matter agenda. then there is baby p. and alot of other before.
I don't know if this will help but critical evaluation is always good for higher education essays.
