Hi
The importance of children respecting each other's individulaity is all about the unique child (A theme in the EYFS) and we, as practitioners, need to promote this by allowing children to see that we as adults respect all individuals regardless of their background, abilites, culture or religion, to name a few of the differences we come across in diversity of life.
We enable children to respect each other in various different ways but always through our attitudes and values.
It is about treating people with equal concern. This underpins everything we do with the children in our care.
You may want to think about circle time activities, self portraits, topics that are concerned with all about me, celebrating cultures and beliefs that are different from our own, things that i am good at, etc
