Wide Eyed EYFS training

hi can anybody help me? I am working towards my NVQ L3 CCLD and I would like to know is it possible to complete the EYFS training online and get a certificate that way or do I have to go on a day course? I do have to pay for the course too apparently which I do not mind doing! can anybody help me please? Also are there any other course I could do online, just got my child protection online, doing my preventing bullying behaviour one too, thank you

Ellen

if you are working your local early years team should be running all these courses for workers for free! you should never have to pay for anything. i would counsel against doing these sort of things online you learn the facts but in no way learn or share good practice people are your biggest resources not a computer

Well said Tutu - I couldn't agree more.
Often when you go on 'real people course' (as opposed to online that is) in all honesty you may not really 'learn' anything new - or that you haven't already had the opportunity to read form the 'taught part'.... but the interactions from other people there are invaluable - sharing good practice- discussing bad practice....and the networking aspect should not be understated. I've made many network connections through these courses and have even done 'setting exchanges' for a few hours when other groups say certain things work well etc. xxx

well what i am confused with is the fact that I am in the reception and I am voluntary, I mentioned my EYFS to head teacher and nothing was said or offered, am I entitled to be put on this even though I am not a paid employee? I am very confused as Early years said I have to pay as i am in a school setting!!!
