Hi,
You need to have objectivity because not all children develop and meet the norms at the same time. The norms are only a guide and allow us to pick up problem areas. You have to safeguard children by making sure you assess them at different times of day/week/month. You could ask someone else to do the same observation and check your findings together. Remember to discuss your findings with the parent and child if possible. As you report your findings in the observation, you should write exactly what you saw with no personal opinions.

Hope this helps you.

Also if you have done 303 K3d204 you can cross reference this one as the wording is exactly the same.
