Default Self Assessment

Hi
I am currently working on a self assessment, i have completed a development plan but need to add more these are the things that i need guidance with.

what job would i like to have a go at that i don't get a chance to now?
I have stated that i would like to complete an induction with students new to the setting which i am going to complete as part of my self assessment i thought i would achieve one of my set targets, these are the obvious bits that i should be doing but can anyone think of other things (these students are with us just for one day for work experience from school).
  • fire exits
  • policy for students and what they are allowed to do and not allowed to do, confidentiality etc.
  • introduce them to staff members etc
  • make sure they have the right activities/equipment
  • make sure all paperwork is correct, allergies, health etc
  • Put them in the register

Any other info would be greatly received

What is the purpose of peer assessment?
What does peer assessment mean to me?
I have put some answers for this such as whoever is observing or accessing it could be the assessor's weakness so will look at peers strenghts to gain ideas/thoughts from them to improve their own weakness and this will help build confidence levels or visa versa assessors strenghts and peers weakness for feedback from colleagues on what they could do to improve their weakness and to find out other peoples views/opinions.

The purpose of self assessment?
What does it mean to me?

I have put some answers for these such as to gain more knowledge, more confidence to try new things, more aware of my strenghts and weaknesses, job satification, reflect on practice (what works, doesn't work, identify training needs).

Any help would be appreciatted or websites

Thankyou Lynne
