Hi, section 3 of the EYFS deals with safeguarding and welfare which are the legal requirements for registered childcare providers.

There are 10 areas within this section however some may not apply if you are a childminder or your course provider has arranged their teaching in a specific way
  • Child protection
  • Suitable people
  • Staff qualifications
  • Keyperson - the childminder is the keyperson (p.10 EYFS 2017 Setion 1 1.10)
  • Staf:child ratios
  • Health
  • Managing behaviour
  • Safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment
  • Special eucational needs: Childminders are encouraged to to identify a person to act as a SENCO
  • Information and records
Can you check with your tutor to ensure so you know what to cover?

Best wishes
