maria montessori-free play and exploration this informs practice as settings can put her theory into practice allowing the children to engage in free play etc

francis frobel- imaginative play

piaget-play experiances

margret mc millan-free play

bruner-adults interacting with children during play

vygotsky- play with older siblings

hope this helps
