General question Please help! Reflecting on childens assesments

Hi I am writing a reflective account- i am a bit stuck on the last bit which is
"Reflect on children's assessments to identify how they can inform and change your own practice to better support children's development"
I can only think of about one sentence!
Any help would be appreciated :)

*Also unrelated to this question but need to just check that I haven't gotten it wrong- would a developmental observation be a checklist?

Hi, welcome to silkysteps.

You'll need to reflect on the assessments made in your setting of children's development, see if they highlight aspects of your own professional development eg. understanding children's behaviours, schemas, their interests, speaking with parents. How might researching some of these issues help you support children's development?

and yes, a development observation might be a checklist but this type will also be the least favourable way of assessing. Methods of observation thread will help more xx

Enjoy the site
