Pumpkins and hammers

Get a nice fat pumpkin and some golf tees (available in boxes of 100's on ebay) and some toffee hammers (You can saw the handles a bit shorter if you like) Spread a cloth (we use a shower curtain) on the floor and let the children (in pairs) hammer the tees into the pumpkin. Fantastic for H/E co-ordination. It lasts for days, then simply chop it open and spend a fun afternoon finding all the tees inside!
