Whoop whoop - yayy Finished!

After lots of hard work i have finished my CCLD NVQ Level 3, and it has been iv'd and my assessor has let me know that i've passed. Am really pleased and want to let everyone know that at times it seems like it will never end but when you finally achieve your NVQ at whatever level, it all becomes worthwhile. Thanks to everyone at Silkysteps, haven't posted much but have logged in for ideas from time to time. Will continue to log in for extra info.

Congratulations!
How long did it take you?
I've just started mine but will definitely hang around here when (if!) I finish and try to help others. Like you I haven't posted much, but I always get great guidance here from other threads.

Thank you. Started April 2009 finished June 2010. Had a change of assessors in the middle. Who are you doing yours with? Mine involved doing 5 tests, the mandatory units plus 4 optionals, professional discussions, an ERR book and a 2 day first aid course.

Sounds like other people are working on much different courses to the one i did. didn't work on 1 particular unit at a time, was given tasks that covered lots of parts of different units.

I'm actually in Scotland, so technically am doing an SVQ3
Got 5 projects handed out, 2 of which are complete..1 I'm stuck on but I'll get there, and 2 not started yet. Had 1 observation on a physical activity and that's all so far. Started in June, but there was some disruption when our setting moved premises and then my assesor went on holiday.

Compared to my SVQ2 though, my assessor this time is SO much better. Seemed like my SVQ2 assessor put obstacles in my way, whereas my new assessor goes out of her way to encourage me and find the evidence she needs from observation.
