- The EYFS is clear about the advantages of involving parents in the early years setting: ‘When parents and practitioners work together, the results have a positive impact on children’s learning and development’
- When children are support to actively participate they become more confident and able to tackle new ideas and situations
- When children get to participate in the decisions they feel valued and respected.
- As practitioners develop the skills of receiving communication from children and babies they can begin to take their perspective into account and meet their individual needs more effectively.
