Hi All - newbie alert

I am currently studying my ccld level 3 also. I work as a nanny and i'm the only one in my class- the others work in schools, nurseries or childmind. As much as people say refer to the childminding practice it is still relevantly different.

I have managed two assesments and been ok but i have a professional discussion on unit 304 and 303 coming up and for some reason finding it quite tough! I think its the thought of talking that worries me i'd rather write down things anyday.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
Mrs_s

hi mrs s, don't worry too much about it!, i started my nvq in nov, just finished my 3rd unit, once you get going it does not seem so scary! my assesser is quite good and as a childminder visits me regularly, i'm not doing the child-minding one but the ccld 0-16's nvq. all i can say is just to try and enjoy it and it will all slot into place, let me know how things go!

Hi Mrs s, I just started my nvq as well so am a newbie too! I'm a childminder and the only one in my area doing the nvq and my assessor has never worked with a childminder so I can really empathise with you! Haven't had any professional discussions yet but I'm sure most assessors would be very understanding and expect us to be nervous, hope it goes well and keep in touch about how eveythings going1

Hi Everyone
I had better introduce myself too as i joined today and posted a message asking for help with NVQ3 unit 303. I have been working as a volunteer in a playgroup since last September and have been studying since April. This seems like a very difficult unit although i have just completed the 0-16 child development essay which took me about a month. I am sooooooo grateful for the help i received so now i can crack on with it

hi brainache, im also doing nvq3 and have a trainee assessor who is not proving to be very supportive as she has very little experience etc. Glad im not the only one struggling with unit 303 as i cant seem to get my head around it either, keep putting if off hoping it will do its self, so perhaps we could try and help each other.

If you want me to 'sticky' a 303 thread in this forum .. you're more than welcome to thrash out the finer details of this unit in there !!?

Let me know !
