SOS Early Educator Level 3

Hello evryone.

I'm have just started the Early Years Educator Level 3 course at home, and I'm feeling a little lost with it.

The question I have got to is 'explain how parental rights has an impact on partnership working' can anyone help?

Hi, welcome to the site. Have you been able to ask your setting about this and has your tutor let you know what research for parental partnerships you need be looking at?

Page 100 of this level 3 EYE handbook states that parent's rights are 'modified by their responsibilities towards their children. In cases of alleged abuse or harm to a child, parents or carers have a right to be informed about what is being said, and to contribute their own view and opinions. However if a child is suffering significant harm then the parents or carers have no immediate rights.

This means that your setting's child protection policy will outline how it respects parent's rights when there are suspicions or allegations of abuse, if you ask for a copy you'll be able to see how it impacts on the working partnership your setting has with its parents and carers.

Page 17 & 26, 38, 143, 148 look at the benefits of working in partnership with parent and carers.
