Hi just wanted reassurance I am going along the right track.

I was thinking of writing about the ECM policy as a national level and then talk about flying start (Wales) as a local level?

If this is not correct any pointers would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Research the policy and guidance impacting on support services at national level, and evaluate how this operates at local level.

mmm thats not part of the task list is it this one?

analyse a strategic national or local policy that has positive impact on outcomes and
life chances for children and young people

ECM is being dropped and is also 10 years old so not really current the new poverty ones such as the benefit cap or the bedroom tax might be better as their impact is huge!
BUT remember if this is the question you need to write it all with analysis based on the ECM positive outcomes.

Hi Tutu,

The question you have put is question 1.3 in my book, the one I am working on is 4.1 Research the policy and guidance impacting on support services at national level and evaluate how this operates at local level.

I was thinking to write about Flying start as they offer free part time child care for deprived areas for the local level, I'll just need to look into the national level.

oh i see it yes that would be a good one nationally in wales. remember to bring it all back to the outcomes. its one of my fave units but rarely get to teach it as it is level 4 and we no longer insist they do a level 4 unit.
