yes! as long as you are confident you can cope with the very different way of learning. it is not about proving competence it is wholly academic. so you need to be sure you can write essays, harvard referencing etc, research etc. one of the best ways some of mine have found is to do a module with the OU or a short course with them first. good luck!

Hi, sharron
You can start the foundation degree at level 1 from the nvq3. You may have to attend an interview with the university this is usually to satisfy them that you will cope with the workload acadmically. If you are not sure whether you think you are ready or not you could do the access course first and see how you manage. I will say it's getting the assignments academically correct which is takes the most time, not the actual content.
hope this helps

Wanting to do it in the first place show's that you are willing to learn.. I'd say go for it!
It is a different style of learning than NVQs- but that doesn't mean you should be afraid to try.

Default fda

Hi Sharron

If you've done the nvq3 then i'm sure you will manage the fda. It is hard work but the reward you will get at the end will make it worth it! There are plenty of people to help you and tutors on the course are very helpful. Don't be put off, I was really worried when i started and felt overwhelmed to start with, but once you have your first assignment under your belt you'll be well on your way.

Have faith in your own capabilities, there probably better than you think.
