Default Playworkers in east yorkshire

Hi, every one. ive just registered to the forum. hoping to get in touch and join in general chat with other playworkers. Im currently doing my level 2 in playwork and i work in a out of school club. are there any playworkers out there from the yorkshire region, please say hello!

Hi Dawn not a playworker or in East Yorks but I was born there and my parents and family are still there - where abouts in East Yorks are you from?

Yes i know Bridlington, or Brid we say lazily. we go there at least once a year.

Yes I work in a Pre School and am opening a new setting in sept. This site is fantatic Im doing my nvq 4 at the moment and people have been very helpful
I did my NNEB in Hul in 1985!!

Opening your own setting sounds exciting. I'm not sure which playwork route i'll go down in the future. I'm looking into volunteering at my local hospital to see if thats the route i'd like to go down. Also looking at what qualifications i'll need.
Any advice from any one would be great. Playworkers in hull are far and few between it seems.

maybe play therephy in the hospital would be a good idea?

I thought if i volunteer i could get some experience and see if it is the job for me, then get the relevent qualifications. I'm always job searching just to see whats on offer out there.
