Default keep adults and children safe

how do procedures in your setting keep adults and children safe am i on the right lines :- c. r b checks to make sure staff are safe to work with children, risk assessments to make sure we are safe from hazards and risks, health and safety laws manual handling so we know how to lift children safely, hygiene procedures eg. washing hands, wearing protective clothing to stop cross infection

yes but it would need to be far more detailed ref to legislation and practice examples, this is just a list AND remember none of these ensure safety so you need to state HOW and WHY

Hi

I think you also need to take into account how to protect your staff due to allergations made against them. To me this is very important as i work in a community centre and the children have to be taken to the toilet with one member of staff so we need to protect our selves too. Records of when a child is changed etc and who changed them. register children in and out of the setting and staff and visitors etc

don't know whether this helps or not
