Hi, how do you currently identify and record children's physical movement skills? what record keeping tracks or monitors this development? how do you see what areas of the room inside and outside are open for improvement - role play area? snack table? outdoor areas?

Page 361 of the level 3 handbook is good reading for this criteria

Quote from page 362:
Reflect on own practice
  • do you act as a good role model by, for example joining in physical activity?
  • do you observe children's physical skills regularly?
  • how aware are you of children's expected development?
  • how do you adapt activities or opportunities to meet the needs of children with additional needs or disabilities?
  • how do you ensure that both boys and girls enjoy physical activity?
  • how do you plan activities to ensure that children are engaged n a range of movement skills?
  • how do you ensure that there is sufficient challenge and variety in the environment for children?
  • how often are children able to play in a natural environment?
Best wishes
