Hi everyone, I wondered if you could guide me please?

K3H263 When and how to use safety equipment such as safety gates, socket covers, window and drawer catches, cooker guards, safety harnesses. Safety
in respect of animals, plants, sand pits and outdoor spaces

I think I have covered safety equipment and now I am moving on to safety in respect of animals, plants......and outdoor spaces.

I can think of the obvious, check your outdoor areas for cat/dog/ foul, covered sand pits...etc...but should I include animals in the setting as pets? I have the EYFS policies and procedures and it is covered in there. I wondered how applicable it was and if I needed to cover it in this knowledge.

Any advice much appreciated. :reading:

For k3h263, I wrote a quick introduction about safety equipment, then used the various items (safety gates, harnesses etc) as bulletpoint headings then explained how and why they are used. Animals must be safe (no lions and tigers!!!) and hygienically kept. Plants must be non-toxic etc.

Hope this is of use.
