Hi

I basically looked at each age group and made a note of how they could hurt themselves unless certain safety measures were taken e.g. a 0-1 year old will be able to move so do not leave them on their own on a bed or a changing unit, keep doors or safety gates closed, be aware of them crawling towards steps have safety gates, also harnesses always to be used on high chairs.

1-3 year old using safety harness when going out on walks, supervising them closely on slides and on larger play equipment, its really every day risk assessments we do without really thinking about them.

Hope this helps

Hiya, sorry to add to this, I'm not sure if you accessed the link on the other thread but the download available from Teachernet is an excellent document detailing a huge amount of health, safety and security issues for all and more of the age ranges you're looking for. Maybe use it as a reference to what's happening/the arrangements you have in place at the setting? Direct link to pdf

Hope it helps
