Do you keep the play dough in the fridge or just a cupboard? I've just made some more. Our shop bought playdoh keeps going sticky.

used to be a fridge but found that it went sticky as putting the dough in the fridge caused condensation on inside of the tub it was it and if we left it open it dried out!!

now just keep it in a cupboard

we do change it once a fortnight at least. often once a week.

Chell - you can also try adding aromatherapy oils for smelly playdough or glitter to make it sparkly. Have fun!

Hiya, this is how we make playdough - saves all the cooking:

2 cups of flour,
1 cup of salt,
2 tablespoons of oil,
cup of water,
food colouring, scent, taxtile, etc.

mix all together adding more water and flour if needed.
We keep our playdough in a tub in the classroom, each time the children use it we sprinkle a bit of flour on top for them to knead in to stop it from becoming too sticky. They love it and cal it 'snow'.

hope this helps, Stephski xxx
