Default How does the School Standards and Framework act influence school bullying policy?

hi first time posting. I am really struggling with this question I just cant seem to get my head around it.. Any help would be great fully appreciated.

Research the School Standards and Framework Act (1998) and summarise its purpose.
Obtain a copy of your schools policy that relates to bullying, outline the procedures to be followed and describe how it has been influenced by the act. (Ref: 5.2)

Hi, so very sorry this was missed. If there's any chance this is still helpful you can find a brief reference to the Act regarding bullying on page 180 of this older 2010 level 3 STL handbook (search inside the amazon preview for the words stands and framework act)

Policies and procedures in response to bullying and why they are in place

Head Teachers are obliged to draw up procedures to prevent bullying in schools under the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998. All staff, parents and pupils nneed to be aware of the procedures that should be followed and the consequences of bullying.

When dealing with any situations of bullying in your school, you will need to make sure that you follow your school's anti-bullying policy./ Although you may need to deal with a single incident on your own, you should also ensure that you are not acting alone in dealing with any ongoing situatio and have discussed your actions with a member of the school's Senior Management Team. It is likely that you will have to follow a series of steps, for example:
  • deal immediately with any incidents of bullying
  • record or report to the Head Teacher or the named person with safeguarding responsibility ot a member of the Senior Management Team, according to school policy.
  • notify the teacher
  • if bullying persists, parents will be informaed
  • measures will be introduced following discussion with all concerned.
Best wishes
