Hi a warm welcome to the site and my spologies for the delay replying.

If you have this level 3 EYE handbook (link to amazon.co.uk) page 63 will help you look at the role of an Early years practitioner as they support children through times of transition and significant events.

For example, as a professional you recognise the impact that transitions can have on a child's development and their well-being, and how important your role is in supporting then during those times.

Consider how you:
  • work closely with others including families
  • spend time with a child
  • allow children to express their emotions
  • know that you must seek further support if a life event is so significant and potentially traumatic for a child.
Hope this hleps xx
