Hi welcome to the site,
page 400+ of the EYE handbook explains how the cycle works, in that;
following a situation or incident that might be positive or negative, the adult thinks about what happened, their feelings, and evaluates it. Going on to analyse why it occurred and the conclusions that can be reached about it. From there an action plan can be drawn up.
The cycle
Description: what happened
Feelings: what were you thinking and feeling at the time
Evaluation: what was good/bad about the experience
Analysis: what sense can you make of what happened
Conclusion: what can you conclude from this
Action plan: what are you going to do now to change the way you work
