Hi guys, I have been asked to identify, using current government guidance, the nutritional needs of babies until they are fully weaned and using information from carers plan a program of weaning?????

I have no idea where to start on this, am really really confused, so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it LOADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got this signed of by doing the answer oral with my assessor i spoke about the nutrients children nedd to grow and how each helps the child. i also spoke about how we teach children about healthy foods and how we grow them we also did an activity of planting carrots and used evdience of this to sign off. you could try speaking to your cook in your setting if you have one. hope this helps

I recently got signed off this unit, I explained current advice on breastfeeding until 6 months (lots of guidance on http://www.nhs.uk/start4life/pages/b...-benefits.aspx) then wrote about foods that should not be fed to babies during weaning i.e salt or sugar, fish containing mercury and then gave a 4 stage weaning plan
