Germination

HELP!!:sorry: I would like to do the old germination thing where you stuff a yogurt pot with cotton wool, add a bean? and water it, then let it grow .....personally I have never done this (okay, so this is more for me than the kids!) What bean do I use? Where do I get it from? Any special treatment? Anything else I've forgotten?

Ta
