Help SOS Professionals Working together?

Hey
Can anyone help, this is for CYPW - Unit CU1555- Outcome 4

4.1 Explain the different ways in which professionals can work together in the interest of children and young people.

4.2 Explain the roles and importance of other professionals involved in joint or integregated working to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs who are learning more than one language.

4.3 Identify and describe, when and how to contact and work together with relevant agencies/services.

Thankyou :)

Hi, when you think of your setting and all of its professional connections what ways do you work together in the interest of the child/yp?

Maybe you listen to what the child or young person says
Know the outcomes you want for the child and work together closely to achieve them
Ensure meetings are held at a time that is convenience for the child, YP, family
Secure services from other providers that can support the child/yp

4.2 What professionals are you aware of in your area that support the speech, language and communication needs of children/yp who are learning more than one language?

What is their role - what do they do, how, when, where

4.3 If your setting had a family, children or young people involved with it and their home or first language was not english who could you call for help and advice?
What assessments/ways of identifying needs are in place that help you to find support and provide support for them in the setting - with advice, do you draw up an action plan that maybe ensures resources in the setting can be identified through the use of notices that include images, the child's first language as well as English, are there english groups where families can find focussed support in learning English. Do you provide newsletters that can include news in languages other than english.

Can you take a look through your local .gov.uk website to see what services your setting has the opportunity to contact? as an example this is a page from Surrey.gov.uks site - supporting young children with English as a second language

Best wishes
