General question Interview for nursery nurse tomorrow

Hi guys,

I have got an interview tomorrow for a Level 3 Nursery Nurse job. I've thought of some questions but I want to be able ask a few more from the list that I have prepared.

I've thought of the general questions that I can ask i.e. hours, is uniform provided, holidays, what training is available and can I be sent on it(does this question sound cheeky in anyway, I know it will show that I'm keen on the job but I don't want to sound too cocky though)

I don't want to ask about the pay, as I feel this can look cheeky. Is this the right thing to do or should I ask? Personal opinions please.

Does the nursery have an open door policy? How does the nursery build relationships with the parents, i.e parent evenings, themed nights were staff and parents can mingle and get to know each other, beauty themed nights etc. Also does it seem ok for me to ask about the guidelines on shoes, suitable clothing for summer, and jewellery(I know its pretty much common sense, but seems better to ask right?)

Also has anyone asked when they have been for the interview if the nursery/setting opens up sp they can set things up before parents drop their kids off?

Is it ok if I take a copy of a character reference along with me and show it to the potentional employer? I'm unsure about this one.

If anyone can give me some other questions that I can ask I would apprecitate it very much.

Sorry it's a bit longwinded but I just want to make sure I've covered as much as possible and try to make sure that I stand out at the interview.

Thanks very much,

Heather.
