Hi, this is what I put, it has been signed off so hope it helps:
A child who displays bullying behaviour will have reached a stage of development where they are able to plan and carry out an action to intentionally cause distress. Bullying can occur in children five years old and over so therefore would be a problem in schools, after school clubs and holiday schemes catering for slightly older children.
As a child minder working from home, usually with children under five years, who don’t yet have an understanding of bullying behaviour, I follow my behaviour management policy where a child shows signs of behaving in an unkind or hurtful manner. (I had already included a copy of my policy in an earlier question)
The aims of anti-bullying and behaviour management policies are to create a safe and secure environment for everyone, to promote good behaviour and encourage achievement and to teach understanding and tolerance of differences in individuals.
I also referred to the Education and Inspections Act 2006 section 89, Education Act 2011 and the Childrens Act.
Good luck
Sally
