Hi MelJane81,
I work on children’s ward as a health care at first but when the opportunity came up for a playroom HPA I asked the hospital play specialist what i would need to be considered education wise as I already had NVQ3 in health care and a CCE in childcare and education as well as 5years working with children in a hospital environment she recommended I go do a NVQ3 in playwork which I did in a year and a year later I applied for the job.
You will have probably finished your diploma by now though so this is probably redundant!
Good Luck!
