Default waste arrangements for few nappies??

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me, I'm on the management committee for a new nursery and part of the staff too. Most of our kids are toilet trained except 2 children, who are still in trainers and occasionally wet themselves, so we have to change them. In the past week, we've had 2 wet trainers.

My question is, will we need a separate collection for them??? Seems a bit silly, can't seem to find any clear guidance on the internet.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi The advice we got was as long as the nappies are less than 50! a week they can go double bagged in black bin rubbish. Ours are put in schools rubbish bin, which is provided and collected by Grundy waste management. Hope this helps xx

I asked the EH officer when she visited us a few weeks ago - she told us she was more than happy for ours to be double wrapped, own bin, then but out with black bag rubbish at the end of sessions. (sessional pre-school). She quite rightly pointed out we probably had less nappies than the average family over the course of a week anyway.
