Hi Mizz C!

Hopefully I'll be able to help you, outline what I did - planned my physical exercise routine including a warm up at the beginning - asked children to feel there hearts before and after warm up saying things like ' my heart is beating a little bit faster now is yours? That's because we've started to exercise'. Also got children to feel their head to see if it felt a little warmer. Also say with older children about warming muscles up so they don't get hurt - you could link in healthy eating at same time talk about how vitimins help make body stronger, calcium good for bones etc? Also do wind down - reversal of warm up or some stretching.
Does this help any?

Hi Miss C

I made fruit on sticks - linked with introducing different and stimulating food - introduced different fruits to the 'norm' - linked mine to chinese new year - lychee, dragon fruit but also used blueberries, kiwi etc - photographed the fruits before they were peeled , showed photograph of fruit - what it looks like and then introduced fruit when peeled and chopped, talked about how different they look. Also saved the peel on dragon fruit, lychee and kiwi so children could feel the textures.
